Important Changes in Membership for MOPH/LAMOPH

The LAMOPH as the MOPH now have only Life Membership. The ladies can become Associate CHAPTER MEMBERS and hold any APPOINTED POSITION other than Adjutant and Executive Committeemen at the Chapter and Department levels.When the ladies Annual Membership expires they can become Life Members by paying the ladies an additional $30.00. New memberships among the ladies cost $50.00, either as ladies Life Members or Chapter/Department. Associate Members.

If you are interested and eligible, we invite you to become a member of the LAMOPH.  For your convenience, application and transfer forms are available on this site for download.  Female Purple Heart recipients are welcome to join the Ladies Auxiliary in addition to the MOPH.  The LAMOPH still has two Levels of Membership as does the MOPH:  Lifetime Membership or Associate Members at the Chapter or Department Level.  In comparison with Ladies Auxiliaries of many other veterans organizations, you are not required to be a U.S. citizen.  You are welcome to join the Purple Heart Ladies' Auxiliary even if your Purple Hearter is not a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart.  If you are a female Purple Heart recipient, you can become a member of our Ladies' Auxiliary also.  You do not need to share a lot of your time, and your smallest effort can make a big difference for our military, veterans, and their loved ones.  Just by your joining can greatly improve the lives of those veterans that are hospitalized, the Auxiliary receives monies for their programs based on their Membership Numbers.   

The objectives of this organization are patriotic, fraternal, historical and educational; to preserve and strengthen friendship among its members; to perpetuate the memory of the Purple Heart dead; to maintain true allegiance to the Government of the United States of America and fidelity to its laws.  Further, it shall be the responsibility of each member, Unit and Department of the Ladies' Auxiliary to assist Chapters and Departments of the Military Order of the Purple Heart in emphisizing those principles of historic significance.
